Kansas City’s Undisputed Street Rap King, Rich The Factor, is Headlining at Riot Room this Weekend

They don’t get much more “local legend” than this, KC. With an unruly amount of albums and mixtapes flooding the city, the coasts, the world, for the better part of two decades, Kansas City’s Rich The Factor has probably released more music in the last two years than some of your favorite rappers have in their entire careers. Okay, let’s go ahead and chalk-up more than 80 releases with most, if not all of them, falling under his own Major Factor Records imprint, and countless more penned features that have appeared on all kinds of projects. Rich The Factor was even featured in Gangstarr’s “Nice Girl, Wrong Place” video years ago, with his go-to MFR crooner, Boy Big, singing the hook. Rich The Factor is an icon in Kansas City streets, but the Major Factor Records movement crosses waters…big bodies of water. The alpha whale will be live and in action at the Riot Room in Westport KCMO on Friday night. (DJ Jamel Rockwell will also be doing a DJ set on the patio. We’ll include more guest performers as they’re announced).
