Skeet Skeet has probably a gabillion remixes under his belt, which you can probably find easily if you ask DJ Google. I’m also anxious to see Spin as well, who’s been playing predominantly in P&L for the past couple of years. This’ll be a good one. TRUST.

Former Demencha cover dude, Murderbot, is doing a kind of online fundraiser type of thing to promote his new album and Chicago dance music in general. There’s a very brief but informative part in this video about Chicago Juke music, which some of you might find interesting. Either way, look out for Chris’ next full length, hopefully sooner rather than later. I absolutely loved his last self-titled CD, and I still have an unopened copy sitting on my dining room table. Please do what you can to support his movement.

And here’s a remix that he recently did:

brent tactic Pictures, Images and Photos

The good folks over at umove are putting on one of the coolest series’ of podcasts in KC right now. They’re up to 046 right now, thanks to the dancefloor mayhem courtesy of Brent Tactic in this latest mix. I haven’t listened to this all the way through yet, mostly in part due to the fact that LC’s umove mixes are absolutely fantastic. Seriously, you cannot go wrong with an LC umove mix. They just keep getting better and better. But back to Brent, don’t forget to catch him at Luna (across the street from Czar Bar) on the 27th when he opens up for Treasure Fingers.

Bro Mo of the Deep Thinkers @ CRMF 2009

Got the word from the Pitch on this. Apparently there’s some kind of similar event going on in Westport around this time in response to the lack of hip hop acts on the bill for the 2010 CRMF (?) It is kind of a shame that there’s not much hip hop on this bill, but I think I’ll go anyway and broaden my horizons, as they say. There are different cover charges at the various venues hosting these artists, but I believe crawling bracelets will also be available for $12-$15.
