PREVIEW: Joey Cool’s “Onslaught” EP

Kansas City recording artist, Joey Cool, is several releases deep already with his most recent being the Unexpected EP which saw release on bandcamp almost a year ago on the dot. While it was a respectable project with features from Reach, Bizzy, Gee Watts and others, we have even higher hopes for his new EP. “Onslaught”, which should see release this fall anytime now, is supposedly bolstered by an army of guest features. But with a rep for jumping on posse cuts, Cool is no stranger to sharing the main stage. His group, 3 The Hard Way, with JL of B.Hood and Dutch Newman, the latest leak from “Onslaught” (linked below), and the aforementioned features anticipated on that upcoming project make it apparent that more are merrier in Joey’s music. Joey flexes an pretty accurate rap flow, and for those who don’t expect much from Cool, just take a look at the “Onslaught” cover. It makes a hell of a statement. Be sure to stay tuned to his twitter for news, downloads, and all things “Onslaught” as the release date looms closer. Joey is rocking with JL and the B.Hood crew, Marley Young, Yung Prez, DJ Gear, Tekneek, DJ Kittie and more at Jerry’s Bait Shop in Lee’s Summit tomorrow night. You should RSVP HERE.
