The 7th Annual “Beware All Style Biters” Art Show & Graffiti Expo @ Kultured Chameleon [09.07.12]

Even though Labor Day Weekend music events are sure to crack this weekend, we’d like to think that a lot of heads are/should be looking forward to the 7th Annual “Beware All Style Biters” event at the Kultured Chameleon art gallery in the Crossroads district of Kansas City on First Friday, September 7th.

While the main catch at this event is perhaps the 20+ artists preparing pieces with each other on collaborative art, let us not forget that Gear and Scribe (Cans City’s Foremost Ambassadors) will be rocking live paint as well. Brad Chun and Ben Kappen are slated to do a live glass-blowing showcase. JL of B.Hood, The Abnorm, Dom Chronicles, iR neKo, Huey P. Nuisance and BluntRap among others are scheduled to perform live music. Raw and uncut spoken word from Nightlife Jones and Dose should be expected as well.

We think this is going to be one of the better platforms for art and music that KC has seen all year, and that’s saying something. The Crossroads Art District is bubbling, boiling, and running over with what’s the most fun, creative and exciting vibe of any entertainment district in the city right now. We fully expect that area to grow in the coming years, and possibly give Westport a run for its money. If you’re into anything concerning street art, graffiti or hip hop under our city’s sky, you should make it a point to be at this event.
