While you’ve been paying attention to Demencha’s coverage of KC’s music underground, hopefully our latest Featured Artist of the Month on the home page didn’t slip by you. But with Soundcloud only allowing 2 hours for members with free accounts, we’ve decided to take our Podcasts elsewhere – Mixcloud.com. It’s kinda similar to Soundcloud, only more designed for DJ mixes, podcasts, talk, etc. I featured a picture of one of my own turntables in this post because that’s how I put previous podcasts together. Remaining are the turntables, but with our own DJ/writer/producer/radio gal, Erin, taking control of the podcast series under the Demencha umbrella (*wipes sweat off forehead*). Erin is a really cold DJ and she’ll send a lot of male DJs running for the hills. Bet that. But those skills combined with her previous years at KJHK in Lawrence are shaping what could be the illest podcast of all time. Well, maybe not of all time (at least not in its infancy). But, this is a new medium of local music coverage that we’re very excited about diving into. Though we’re branching out into audio podcasts, we hope you’ll still enjoy reading Demencha as well.
