By now, many of Frank Ocean’s fans are now aware of his recent sexual orientation announcement. We’re not here to care much either way, what we are here to re-report from The Fader is that Mr. Ocean’s debut album out July 17th on Def Jam is already shaping up to be a monster. As debut albums should be, there are few features on the record, but one heavy hitter on the guest list for the “Channel Orange” release is Andre 3000. We find it amusing that while Frank Ocean is one of the hottest rising icons in r&b, most of the top google results fetched when you search his name are all focusing on his bi-sexual announcement, few sites of which are noting that this dude’s album is probably gonna make “Radio Killa” sound like radio filla’. If Nostalgia, Ultra and the Lonny Breaux Collection mixtapes weren’t enough of an indication, a proper album on a major label based on the strength of two guest appearances on Watch The Throne and writing credits for Justin Beiber are making us salivate for July 17.

Wow, “Pyramids” just blew my mind. Most ambitious, artistic main-stream track I’ve heard in a while.
