TONIGHT: Nicolay of Foreign Exchange w/ The Hot at Nights @ The Blue Room, 18th & Vine [KCMO]

Yup! This one caught us just as off-guard as it probably did you as well. Dutch producer, Nicolay, is perhaps most commonly known for his work with Phonte on the Foreign Exchange records and North Carolina’s Little Brother members. In addition, which may come as a shocker to some, his 2006 album Here actually included a feature from a young Wiz Khalifa, well before the “Black & Yellow” days. It’s actually quite dope…

But not quite as dope as his Foreign Exchange work…

Tonight at the Blue Room in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine Jazz District, Nicolay will be getting down with live band, The Hot at Nights. If tonight’s show unfolds like anything that this blogger in Toronto had to say about Monday’s tour stop (“It’s very rare that I go to a concert and leave speechless”), you might want to make it a point to cancel whatever you have going on tonight and head up to 18th & Vine. Just saying.
