…Please slow your roll. As you already know, Philly-based DJ extraordinaire, Cosmo Baker will be landing in KC shortly for a gig at the Riot Room tonight alongside JT Quick and Brent Tactic. You need to be there. What you might not already know, in case you’re dismissing this event as some kind of “techno bullshit”, is that back in 2007, Cosmo, DJ Eleven and DJ Ayers (collectively, The Rub), put together DJ mixes depicting each year of hip hop from ’79 on. If the 2.5 hour deep 1996 mix doesn’t mean anything to you, just wait until you get hooked on these mixes and your hard drive space dries up.
