I have a love/hate relationship with the Czar Bar. I love it because they bring really good DJs in (recent out of town acts include Cosmo Baker, Treasure Fingers and Roy Davis Jr.). But I hate it because I can’t sell magazines in their bar. Not that any of you have to worry about the latter, so I suggest you guys get your asses in that bar on Friday and get riled up into a dancing, sweaty frenzy with probably my two favorite DJs in KC, save Just. As for me? I might just pick on the smokers outside (shh).
OH YEA, ONE HUGE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION: A lot of people have trouble finding a parking spot when going to the Czar Bar. Here’s a helpful hint. There’s a big parking lot right around the corner, across from Mercy Seat Tattooos. They’ll have a guy standing at the entrance to the parking lot taking people’s money to park. BUT – if you tell him you’re going to the Czar Bar, they’ll let you park there for free. Swear to God.
