Another old album that I picked up at Best Buy circa mid-late 90′s was Hell’s Kitchen, by Ming+FS. I think it was stolen when my car was broken into at the Bannister Mall parking lot some years back, but I’m now on a quest to find this one song in particular off that record called “Kings County,” which is a Brooklyn NY anthem if I’ve ever heard one. I regrettably found the song on youtube after googling about 15 pages of search results in an effort to find the mpFree. This “video” below doesn’t do the song justice. The featured MC on it is one M’stro Manny and I can’t tell if I like his rhymes better than I like the beat, which is usually what makes a great song, IMO. This song is an inspiration and makes me want to go to NY. Below is the album cover to Hell’s Kitchen, and below that is the audio/video to the song “Kings County.” It won’t disappoint. And if anyone out there has this song on their hard drive, hit me up at demenchamag@hotmail.com. PEACE

man there was a version of this song on vinyl – maybe on the single vs. the hell’s kitchen album – that IMHO had a much better beat..I’ll ask my old DJ homie who I believe had that on vinyl..or if someone knows of the version of which I am speaking – please post it!

“I said it purposely, so she could understand her worth to me”

    The beat.
