Their new album, Divided By Night, is in stores in May, also.

This news should’ve been broken on our site earlier, but we just got a tip tonight from a local hip hop insider about a new video from Kansas City’s own Mon E.G. (aka Mon E.G. The Ghostwriter) featuring Rick Ross and Yo Gotti for Mon E.G.’s “Chevy Anthem” remix. We’re not sure who the director is, but we do know that this video was shot in Kansas City last Spring, on Prospect to be exact. Rick Ross and them came up to KC for the video last March while on tour, and Ricky Ross himself is sporting a KC fitted in the video (yes!!!). The beat for this track was done by a KC dude who’s now in Atlanta who goes by the alias, Raw Beatz. Apparently, this video has received over 1.5 million views on worldstarhiphop.com already. Not only that, but it’s being played on MTV Jams and BET has added it to rotation on their show “The Deal.” Hopefully, this will appear on Mon E.G.’s new album. On what label that album will be pushed by, we don’t know. But we do know that, according to this insider, Mon E.G. is being contacted by “major labels” right now.

Here’s to Mon E.G. and his future endeavors. We’ve got our fingers crossed.

Our good friend DJ Shad did a rare, live DJ mix on KKFI Community Radio this past Saturday night on Mz. Shai’s Show-Me Mix Show. He dropped some nu nu goodies, as usual. Particularly, the tracks that caught my attention the most were Joe Vertigo’s “Caddie Whippin” (KC) and the Polyrhythm Addicts – “It’s My Life” (feat. Phonte) produced by Kansas Citian, JOC MAX, which I didn’t even know existed. Apparently, it came out on Polyrhythm Addicts’ Break Glass LP a year or two ago. The anticipation for Joc and DJ Spinna’s “Domecrackers” project continues…

MIMS feat. DJ Class – Move (Class Heat Remix)
http://www.divshare.com/download/6841373-a46

I just got these two tracks in my e-mail today from DGWXX. The one above is a DJ Class remix of MIMS’ brand new one, “Move If You Wanna.” DJ Class is apparently on some kind of mission right now, especially after putting out the “I’m the Ish” track a while back that’s been getting play by everyone with an ear to club music within the past couple of months or so. As if all these DJs weren’t already mixing DJ Mad’s “Put Your Drinks Up,” with Class’ “I’m The Ish,” this bmore remix will fit perfectly into your power bmore sets.

MIMS – Move (DJ Slugo’s Juke Remix)
http://www.divshare.com/download/6841397-4be

This next one is a firestorm of a juke/ghetto house track by none other than the incomparable DJ Slugo himself, who we featured on the cover of our summer issue of Demencha Magazine back in July. I can’t decide which of these two remixes I like better, but Slugo certainly does his thing on this one too!

AND HERE’S THE ORIGINAL: MIMS – “MOVE IF YOU WANNA”
