I shot this video last night at Club 4400 at Heet Mob’s open mic night (every Monday). The featured performer is a spoken word/poetry guru – Kynan Ramsey aka “YEP” (Young Educated Poet). The dude is amazing at what he does. So is his little brother, Terrence, who’s spoken word alias is Lost Soul. Which brings me to a point. Terrence actually wrote a piece in our fall issue (WHICH IS AVAILABLE FOR TWO DOLLARS AT THE TOP OF THE MAGAZINE RACK AT 7TH HEAVEN ON TROOST) about Kynan, wherein Kynan actually penned a poem for us, in addition to the editorial and interview that Terrence did with him. Kynan has more videos of his performances on youtube – just search “Kynan Ramsey.” In this video, I turned on the cam in the middle of him shouting out Demencha Magazine, but that’s not really what I was trying to get on camera anyway. Just watch the video and you’ll see what I mean.
