Our good friend DJ Shad gave us a CD the other day with the remix to Soundsgood’s “Pacin,” produced by Joc Max and featuring Taha, two of the members of Basement Khemists. I was never really a fan of Soundsgood, but when you put Joc and Taha together once again, good things always happen.

Beatbroker and I actually agreed once on hiphopkc that Taha is probably the top dog MC in KC, and has been for years. So in related Taha news, we recently read a blog post he put on his myspace page wherein he talked about what was new with him, personally and professionally. He even mentions his featured guest spot on DJ SPINNA AND JOC MAX’S UPCOMING DOMECRACKERS PROJECT. Thank god it’s still in the works.

“Well Well Well I’ll be damned if we ain’t gon into the second half of 2008! Looking forward 2 C my new baby girl Tah’keia Khadijah Zaire (It just came 2 me). As well as the completion of new musical projects from myself as well as the Heet Mob! Also be on the lookout for D.J. Jocmax and D.J. Spinna aka Domecrackers I will be a featured guest on that as well. I hope 2 do more work with Miles Bonny and my Innate Sounds family, lotta good music coming from them. Kansas city Soul/Hip-Hop music is definetly on the up and up! I’m old enough now to say I’m like a Uncle on the scene…. Get at me if you want 2 know the real history of Kansas City music. It really has a very interesting story behind the scenes. I plan 2 do a piece on it, a short story or somethin. Anywayz all is well in my world and I hope all is well in yourz! Stay focused and I’ll probably see you out and about around town…..PEACE AND BLESSINGS aka Bro. Neves aka Papa Tah aka Chief of Tribe CHOKEAMUTHAFUCKA lol.”
