We got a friend request at the Demencha myspace page a couple of days ago from someone out of Paris, a DJ named Big Dope P. He produces club, ghetto-tech and juke with what I’m guessing is some kind of French house flair in addition to copy and pasted vocal snippets, and has made it abundantly clear that he has no affiliations with the French Violator Juke Squad DJs, though his shit is really dope. Below, we have a couple songs from an old EP he released, Da Movelt Posse EP, one featuring Fannypack, and some “exclusives,” one of them being a remix of Trina’s verse on “Nann.” Though all these tracks are really good and would work on most dancefloors, the bit rate on them all is only 160, and most of the tracks are only 2-3 minutes in length. Listen to these and if (when) you like them, hit up Dope P on his myspace page and I’m sure the two of you can arrange something. (He’s also got tracks on iTunes.)
