Today we bring you a whole bunch of brand new music from a few different artists across the country, and some from right here in the MO/KAN region. (Thanks to our friends out in STL for putting us up on this stuff!). The first one is from a cat out of Wichita who goes by XV, and his new track featuring Lil Wayne, “U Got It” (130 BPM). Next is Stuey Rock (ATL) and his song, “Disco Maniac” (123 BPM). Then Torre Sanders (STL) with his new one, “Party Mode,” produced by the Trackboyz at 130 BPM. Next is Legion The Legend (Kansas City) with his new song, “Paramedic,” a 115 BPM firestorm that’s caught fire within recent weeks on local hip hop radio. And last but not least, we bring you some new new David Banner, “Hello,” that’s pretty solid too.

All in all, it’s nice to hear so many artists doing uptempo tracks right now. People have realized that DJs are tired of playing the same 70-90 bpm stuff. I think Timbaland has played a big role in that, but there’s a lot of other people you could credit too. Anyways…EAT ‘EM UP!!!

Miles Bonny sent us a zip file a few weeks back with some somewhat exclusive remixes he had laying around. We’ve been so bogged down with magazine stuff that I haven’t had the chance to check these out until now. I accidentally deleted the zip file (sorry Miles) but had the individual tracks sitting on my desktop. Call it lazy blogging, or call me tired for doing yet another all-nighter, but here’s just one super dope remix that I’m in love with right now out of Miles’ zip file (below). It’s Bonny’s remix of Joe Good’s “In Ya Mouf,” which many will remember off his Hi, May I Help You mixtape wherein Good’s vocals were put down over Dogg Pound’s “New York, New York.” I remember when this version dropped, it was kind of a mini-anthem in the KC indie hip hop scene. Miles does a super fresh take on Joe Good’s acappella with possibly a hidden message at the very end of the song (?).

Our good friend DJ Shad recently completed what he calls a “backpacker” hip hop mix for Demencha. Below is the link to download it, and the tracklisting, so you know what you’re in for. Shad was recently nominated for best hip hop DJ for the Pitch Music Awards, which will be held later this summer. I’ll voice more of my opinion on the Pitch’s best DJ categories and best hip hop categories in the next couple of days here on Demencha. Shad is now mixing on a number of radio stations while being a part of the Derrty DJs in STL.
