This is a mix from KC legend, Chi-town native, DJ Shad, originally recorded back in December of 2007. The real goodness on this mix is the five old school Basement Khemists songs at the end. Classic Kansas City underground stuff right there. Shad’s got drops from Warren G on this mix, and it’s hosted by the “complete MC,” Les Izmore. You can catch Shad spinning at Zen (the old Grand Emporium) on Fridays and Karma in Westport on Saturdays. Be on the lookout for Shad to lock down some more weekly gigs very soon.
